Wendy Williams Reveals Lamar Odom Treated Her to a Shopping Trip: "I Know His Kindness and Share His Struggle"

Wendy Williams says she understands what Lamar Odom is going through.

Following news that the basketball player had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, the talk show host took to Twitter today to share a memory that she has of Khloé Kardashian Odom's hubby at his best and expressed hope that all will be well between the two."I met @RealLamarOdom one time, when my husband and I were shopping in LA. He was in the store too," Williams recalled."After he left, he called in his credit card to pay for our stuff. I only know his kindness and share his struggle w/substance abuse. 

Williams opened up last year on her show about her own personal battle with drugs while speaking about the death of Whitney Houston.

"It's been almost 15 years since I last smoked from a crack pipe," she said last February. "It's been almost 15 years since I waited on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx for my drugs. I'm not proud of the girl that I was, but without being that girl I wouldn't be the woman I am today.

Michael Douglas was still wearing his wedding ring Friday at the 2013 Deauville American Film Festival, two days after he and Catherine Zeta-Jones revealed that they had separated after 13 years of marriage.

Douglas was already in Europe when reps for him and Zeta-Jones confirmed that they were "taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage."

He was out on a yacht off the coast of the Italian island of Sardinia over the weekend, and then he had dinner at La Petite Maison in Nice, France, on Tuesday night with several male friends.

With Douglas living at their Central Park West residence in Manhattan, Zeta-Jones has remained at their estate in Bedford, N.Y., where she enjoys golfing and horseback riding and frequents a local stable.

They have two children together, 13-year-old son Dylanand 10-year-old daughter Carys.

A source told E! News this week that Douglas spends time with the kids but primarily moved out of the Bedford mansion 18 months ago and for a time stayed in a converted barn on a pal's property a few miles away.

Chelsea have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Brazilian had looked to be on the verge of joining Tottenham earlier this week but the Blues have outmanoeuvred their London rivals and the forward will now move to Stamford Bridge subject to a work permit being granted.

"The transfer is subject to a work permit hearing on Wednesday."
The 25-year-old had got as far as completing a medical at Spurs but his about-turn will come as a boost to Blues boss Jose Mourinho, who has been looking to add to his attacking options this summer.
The Portuguese has had two bids rejected for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and is now being linked with another Anzhi player in Samuel Eto'o.
Mourinho hinted that Willian had chosen the Blues over Spurs in his press conference on Friday, although the player had yet to complete his medical at that point.
"I think he's already made his decision," Mourinho said.
The self-styled 'Special One' nodded in the affirmative when asked if that was Chelsea.
He added: "I don't like to speak before time because football can be crazy.

The couple, who have been married for 13 years, released a statement via their publicist after reports their marriage had hit the rocks.
'Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage.
The Hollywood power couple are currently thousands of miles apart, with Michael holidaying in Sardinia solo while Catherine remains in New York.
The couple, who married in 2000, haven't been seen publicly together since 22 April, when they cuddled up on the red carpet at the 40th Annual Chaplin Award Gala at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.
They are said to have decided to spend some time alone after Michael returned from this year's Cannes Film Festival in France.
Rumors then started to swirl over a possible split when Michael seen playing a game of golf on his own in Italy last week.
Cutting a lonely figure, it was a different picture entirely from just last year when the actor smiled alongside his Welsh-born wife at the annual Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament, which took place between 25 and 27 May.
It was recently reported by Star Magazine that Catherine was set to begin a '$300m divorce battle' against Michael, to end their marriage.
While a representative for Michael, 68, and Catherine, 43, denied that they have separated, the married couple have been spending time apart recently.Michael is said to be living in Manhattan while Catherine is staying at their $4m home in New York State with their children Dylan, 13, and Carys, ten.

Chelsea announced on Sunday that they have reached an agreement to sign Brazilian attacking midfielder Willian from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, subject to the granting of a work permit.

His arrival will further swell the number of attacking midfielders at manager Jose Mourinho’s disposal, with Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Oscar, Victor Moses, Kevin De Bruyne and Schuerrle already competing for just three starting places.

The arrival of the Brazilian has turned analysts’ focus on Moses as the most likely to be hit by the addition. Soon after Chelsea announced the deal on Sunday, British media highlighted Moses as the lowest in the pecking order of the supporting strikers who could go on loan when the mid-season transfer window opens in January. The predictions are coming despite Mourinho’s pre-season remark on the Super Eagles attacker. The Chelsea boss had said during the tour of the USA that Moses was doing very well with the team.

He said, “Moses has been very terrific.”
There was an initial loan bid from Everton for Moses which Chelsea turned down in June.
The acquisition of Willain by the Stamford Bridge team comes as a surprise. The 25-year-old had been set to join Tottenham Hotspur, having undergone a medical at the north London club earlier last week, only for Chelsea to hijack the deal.

We have been hearing that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's marriage is in crisis but the core reason behind this according to TMZ is Lamar's 'hardcore drug abuse' and not the infidelities.

The marriage of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom is in crisis, TMZ has learned ... the core reason is hardcore drug abuse. Multiple sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Lamar has had a problem for 2 years.  It got so bad, last August Khloe pressured Lamar to go to rehab.  Lamar went to a facility in San Diego, but he was so resistant Khloe hired private investigators to secretly stand guard at the rehab place to make sure he didn't leave.

The P.I.s stood guard 24/7.  Our sources say Lamar constantly threatened to leave and Khloe made several visits to prevail upon him to stay.  We're told after 3 weeks, Lamar left for good.We're told Lamar actually stayed clean once he left rehab and was able to play well for the Clippers this past season.  But when the season was over, sources say Lamar slipped deep back into hardcore recreational drugs.  As for reports that Lamar was cheating recently, we're told Khloe is convinced it happened, and she feels she's been hit with a double whammy ... but drugs are the main problem. As for divorce ... neither Khloe nor Lamar has contacted a lawyer.  As one source put it, "Khloe is more concerned about saving Lamar than ending her marriage."We're told the situation has become dire.  Sources tell us ... within the last 2 days, the entire family staged an intervention, trying to convince Lamar to go back to rehab, but he wouldn't have any of it. In fact, on Wednesday morning, right after the failed intervention, Khloe threw Lamar out of the house and as you see from the pic (above), one of Lamar's friends is loading Lamar's stuff in his car as Lamar watches.We attempted to reach Lamar for comment ... so far, no word back
