Wendy Williams says she understands what Lamar Odom is going through.
Following news that the basketball player had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, the talk show host took to Twitter today to share a memory that she has of Khloé Kardashian Odom's hubby at his best and expressed hope that all will be well between the two."I met @RealLamarOdom one time, when my husband and I were shopping in LA. He was in the store too," Williams recalled."After he left, he called in his credit card to pay for our stuff. I only know his kindness and share his struggle w/substance abuse.
Williams opened up last year on her show about her own personal battle with drugs while speaking about the death of Whitney Houston.
"It's been almost 15 years since I last smoked from a crack pipe," she said last February. "It's been almost 15 years since I waited on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx for my drugs. I'm not proud of the girl that I was, but without being that girl I wouldn't be the woman I am today.
